Product Claims

The supposed benefits of the product include:

- Supports healthy testosterone levels

Despite the generally informative (though decidedly gimmicky) nature of the Virectin website, it does not reference any scientific data from clinical studies whose research would corroborate any of the product’s claims.

Does It Work?

Virectin contains all five essential ingredients scientifically found to be critical for the success of male enhancement products, L-Arginine, Horny Goat Weed/Epimedium, Tribulus Terrestris, Tongkat Ali/Eurycoma Longifolia and Cnidium Monnier, as well as numerous other substances commonly found in them, including Damiana, Avena Sativa/Oatstraw, Ashwagandha, Maca, Saw Palmetto, Gingko Biloba, Fenugreek, Mucuna Pruriens, Selenium and Zinc.

Unfortunately there is no indication of the quantities of any of the ingredients in Virectin, which makes it very difficult to determine their effectiveness.

More troubling is that several review sites stated that Virectin contains Yohimbe, although there is no indication of this on the Virectin website.

Yohimbe is a substance made from the bark of a West African tree which is often featured in male enhancement products, claiming it has been successfully used by men in the region as an aphrodisiac for centuries.

However the FDA has identified Yohimbe as a substance of concern and many nations around the world have banned its use due to its disturbing history of causing numerous health issues, including headaches, dizziness, anxiety, insomnia, hallucinations, hypertension, seizures and kidney failure.

As a result, we strongly warn consumers against the use of any male enhancement product which features Yohimbe, though we have no confirmation that this includes Virectin.

If it is Yohimbe free, Virectin is likely to be an effective male enhancement product which we would endorse as a viable treatment for erectile dysfunction.

If however it does indeed contain Yohimbe, The Center for Male Enhancement would not recommend Virectin as a safe or effective product.
